  14. This is for those of you who missed it the first time.  Ethan Platt
  15. basically offered to buy stuff and then never paid.  There were at
  16. least ten of us.  This is only a list of those that I could get to come
  17. forward, or who noticed the thread aginst Ethan Platt.  I'll put my story
  18. up one more time though for those interested.

  25. Do not send anything to this individual.  If you have already sent it,
  26. try to call UPS to cancel shipment and return it to you.  
  27. About two months ago I was offering Space Ace for sale for $15.
  28. He replied to my add offering to pay $25 if I would ship it
  29. immediately.  The extra money was so that he would get it faster he
  30. said.  He told me that he would send out a money order the next day.
  31. Almost three months later I have received nothing.  I have been in
  32. contact with him and he maintains he never received it.  About two
  33. weeks ago I posted something similar to this post in this group and he
  34. called me to ask why I was doing what I was doing, and pleading his
  35. case.  I must admit he was friendly and I beleived him, but now I
  36. don't.  I have received email from about 8 people now telling me that
  37. they all have had problems with Ethan Platt aka Chad Walters.  I would
  38. not deal with this individual.  His scam seems to be offering more
  39. money than you ask, then saying he never got it, or refusing COD and
  40. then asking you to send it regular post, and after all that, he makes
  41. a nice telephone call to you explaining how he has received nothing in
  42. the mail.  Detailed posts to follow.

  44. After this fiasco, I have seen a post by an individual going by the name
  45. Kent Penter who claimed that Ethan Platt was not really a crook and told a
  46. long story of how he visited the police station and EP's house and found
  47. out that it was a criminal neighbour of Platt's Doug Weathers who was
  48. doing all the stealin, adnd who had been arrested.  I checked with the
  49. authorities and they had heard nothing about this.  I suspect that Kent
  50. Penter was actually Ethan Platt up to his old tricks.  It was a fairly
  51. transparent attempt.  In any event there you all go.  Be wary of this guy.
  52.  He sounds like he is in his mid to late 30's.  He has a british accent,
  53. which upon refeltion I do not know if it is genuine.  Just watch out...he
  54. is out there...
